ICF Coaching Education’s Board of Directors is a governance board. We expect board members to have the capacity to think and act as oversight and be future-oriented. It is important that all members collaborate well and engage in productive dialog. All members will be expected to commit to 3-5 hours of one-off and scheduled board meetings / working sessions per month.
ICF Coaching Education board members are expected to attend one (1) annual board meeting in person (time of year and location to be determined, especially during the COVID era). ICF Coaching Education shall offer each board member compensation to cover travel-related expenses to attend the annual in-person board meeting. ICF Coaching Education will also cover expenses related to any necessary board retreat. Such retreats, for instance, could include a strategic planning retreat that occurs every three years, which would be in addition to the annual in-person board meeting for the year.
Once appointed, ICF Coaching Education directors serve a two-year term and not more than two consecutive terms before a one-year break in service.
To be considered by the ICF Coaching Education Nominating Committee, each applicant is asked to submit an application. At the end of the application window, the Nominating Committee will review all applications. Select candidates may be asked to participate in an interview.
