Vision Statement: Coaching is an integral part of a thriving society and every ICF Member represents the highest quality of professional coaching.

Mission: ICF exists to lead the global advancement of the coaching profession.

We fulfill this with our strategic goals related to coach practitioners.

Approved by the ICF Global Board in September 2019, the objective of our 2020 Strategic Plan is that ICF leads the way in transforming lives, society thrives and clients associate ICF coach practitioners with excellence. It accomplishes this through the following four strategic goals:

  1. Leverage the ecosystem to boost members’ professional growth for impact and confidence
  2. Provide a sense of belonging through an integrated community
  3. Position ICF coaches as the gold standard
  4. Build leadership among volunteers
