Verify ICF Membership or Credential

Anyone can call themselves a coach. But being a Member and/or Credential-holder with ICF requires an individual to meet and adhere to rigorous education and ethical standards.

The Verify a Coach tool has been developed to help you verify that the coach you are partnering with is credible. Search a name to verify:

• ICF Membership Status — only ICF Members in good standing may market themselves as such and use the ICF logo on their marketing materials.
• ICF Credential Status — only ICF Credential-holders in good standing* may market themselves as one of the following:
  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC)
  • Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
  • Master Certified Coach (MCC)

*Please note: ICF offers a 60-day grace period for Credentials, allowing ACC, PCC and MCC Credential-holders to remain active for 60 days following their expiration date.

Search tip: Use a percent sign (%) to indicate a wildcard. For example, entering %ter for last name will find anybody whose last name contains ter, like Pewter, Carter, and Bitterman. There is automatically a wildcard after your last character.
